About Me

Hi! My name is Suneé and I’m a travel addict.

I was 18 years old when I first boarded a plane for a foreign destination. Born and raised in South Africa, that first trip to Europe opened my eyes to a whole new world filled with beautiful scenery, astounding history and interesting people.

Since then, I have tried to visit a foreign country at least once a year and have travelled through most of Europe, visited Singapore and Thailand, and braved Mozambique, Zanzibar, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Tanzania on my home continent. While saving up for these exotic overseas holidays and working on checking off items on my bucket list, I try to visit a few local destinations and play at being a tourist in my own amazing country.

My partner in travel is my husband, Gareth, who was born in Wales but also grew up in South Africa. Since I’m the designated photographer most of the time, you’ll see him in many of the pictures on this blog, usually with a goofy grin on his face.

Most of our travels to date have been as a couple, but 2016 saw us finally adding a new little traveller to our family. While we mainly stayed close to home during his very early years, we’re finally ready again to take him with us on our worldwide adventures!
