All You Ever Wanted to Know About Pretoria, South Africa
Those of you who don’t follow me on Facebook will have wondered why this blog has been so quiet recently. The reason for that is because I was contracted to write a series of articles for well-known culture and lifestyle website, The Culture Trip! This was an incredibly exciting opportunity for me, because I finally had the chance to combine my love of writing and travel and get paid for it!
As their Pretoria writer, I was commissioned to write articles about my home city and let me tell you, I have learned so much while researching for these articles! I get excited about places like Paris and London and Rome, but Pretoria, although not nearly in the league of those fantastic cities, also has a few surprises up its sleeves.
So, if you’re wondering what to do, where to stay, or what to eat while you’re in the Jacaranda City, please hop over to this link, where you’ll see a list of all the articles I wrote. I’m especially excited about the list of family-friendly things to do, because now I know where to take the little traveller on a slow weekend, and the list of pet-friendly places to eat – finally Loki can come too!
If you’re looking for a place to start, I’d recommend either 11 Top Things to See and Do in Pretoria or 10 Reasons Why You Should Visit Pretoria. You’ll see a bit of overlap here and there because, let’s face it, Pretoria is not London or Paris or Rome, but I’ve tried to keep it interesting and relevant as much as I can.

There are also one or two articles that range a little further afield, so if you’re a geek then check out The Geekiest Things You Can Do in South Africa for some nerdy fun times, or if you like festivals then The Festivals You Should Know in Each South African Region is my guide to the ones you shouldn’t miss across the country.
If you enjoy these listicle type articles, please let me know and I’ll consider doing something similar here on the blog from time to time.
Is there anything else you want to know about Pretoria that I can write about? Ask me something in the comments below.
